Why we created this

A new iteration of the beloved OXO good grips cutting board, uses a simple parallelogram geometry to improve the kitchen essential. The goal was to give the classic design a modern look to appeal to a new generation of OXO customers. We retained the double sided features, groove for liquid, and easy-pour corners for liquid run off.

The Challenges

One of the primary goals of this redesign was to bring the COGS of the full cutting board suite. This new design was able to reduce both the amount of PP and TPU used, while still retaining the rigidity of the board. We also translated the design into bamboo, providing additional manufacturing challenges.
